Support BluRay MPLS playlists

Post by cgaspar » Mon Oct 02, 2017 4:51 am

Sadly just playing back the .m2ts files isn't enough for correct BluRay playback. It would be nice if UMS supported the .mpls playlist files so things are correctly rendered.

If you have VLC installed, and that you have enabled VLC video engine in UMS in the "Transcoding Settings" tab (see the left panel with the wheel), you should be able to play them.
If you didn't hide the "Transcode" folder in the "Navigation/Share Setings" tab, you should be able to browse into the #-TRANSCODE-# folder from your TV. Then from there, you should select [VLC].
You can also choose VLC as your main video engine, for that you'll have to set it on the top of your video engines list with the UP arrow.

That's said, i've never tried myself, i don't own such files.
