Hi

In general coming from my camera I have video and picture, as everybody. With the DLNA protocol we can only shown separately vide and picture: would it be possible to mix both in a same folder choice?
I'm quite sure i'm not the only opne fed up with this restriction of DLNA

Thx
Rmanal

My LG TV uses one app for handling photo and video, and another one for audio. So ideally I don't see how putting photo and video in a single folder be any issue. What problem are you facing?

Yes I can confirm what Atamariya said, this isn't a restriction of DLNA, it is usually just how the device has implemented it. Most devices like TVs will just show the contents of the folder, regardless of whether it is video, audio or image

Understood: I have a Samsung TV and when I enter the DNLA menu, it proposes "video", "photos" and "audio". and when you enter inside, you can only see corresponding type of files.
So it is due to my TV.
Do you know any way to mix them with Samsung?

thx

Is on your TV listed the UMS as a DLNA server? It seems to me that not.

I don't get your point?
Yes I connect with my TV to the UMS server on my PC?

I'm not a specialist, sorry for my stupid question

Yes, it's the function of renderer to either include or exclude media types while displaying.

The PS3 does the same thing, it has video audio and image folders, but we have nothing to do with that. If you use our "Media Library" folder, we also organise that by video, audio and images, so that is a way to make sure you see all of your files instead of missing some

Thx for your support

"If you use our "Media Library" folder": I don't catch the point because at the end I still not able to show at the same time on my TV picture and video, that are in the sames folder on my PC.
