Support DSD/DFF files for streaming

A handful of modern devices now support streaming DSD over DLNA, and some DLNA server packages have started supporting the format. I purchased an Oppo BDP-103D a few months ago, which as of a few months ago, added this capability, as well as streaming over SMB/CIFS. I've tested that, and it works great, but I'm running Universal Media Server 3.5 on my workstation, which doesn't recognize the files. I'd like to see the format supported. Is there anything I can do to help with this? I'm not familiar enough with the codebase or the file format to assist with development, but if there's another way I can help, let me know. Thanks.

If you want to see some sample files, several are available at:

If you put:

Code: Select all

StreamExtenstions = DSD, DFF
In the CONF file of the renderer your sending this to, it should then stream those to your device.

FWIW, there is also a pull request in for this Renderer: OPPOBDP103.conf

I went ahead and added that extra bits to the CONF.

I just added the support for Cambridge Audio Blu-ray Disc players.
Does anyone know if OPPO added DSD support to BDP 93 too?
