Remote control use of Directv remote

Remote control use of Directv remote

Is there a way to use the Directv remote control to fast forward and rewind rendered video? It will of course stop, play and pause but FF and Rew as a bonus skip up and down by 30 seconds would be the icing on the cake. Thanks in advance.
