I have Sonos System installed at home. Its a music/multimedia speaker system that outputs music/media to different speakers through out the house. From the Sonos Controller app for iOS/Android and for Windows/Mac, you can add playlists, music to Sonos System. Also you can set each Sonos Speakers to different rooms (Sonos refer them as "Zones"). I have the Bridge (the generation without Bluetooth support) and the Play:1 Speaker. The bridge is in family room hard-wired to the dual-band WiFi router and the Play:1 Speaker is set in "living room zone" in Living room.

For further info on Sonos System:

I'm interested in knowing If I can output media from UMS to Sonos using it own config files as part of known renderers. Is it possible that you'd add Sonos to official list of known renderers please?

Maybe, not at the time, unless they added in DLNA in firmware update. But you can still stream your music into network playlist. Sonos Controller can find stuff from different computers in your local network at the time.
