Please rather than just sending the raw file through the server to the web view, allow the engine to do the same as done with a DLNA renderer. Transcoding to the web view would make it so much more versatile, even if it requires disabling many features that aren't possible using the default browser player (softsubs, etc.)

It would be a lot of work, but the result would be incredible, especially when custom server front ends are involved!

We do the same for web as for renderer. If web browser doesn't support the media format it is transcoded so where is the problem? You should provide the log with the problem as described in viewtopic.php?f=9&t=556
