Preferences setting?

I don't see a preference setting to auto subscribe to threads for replies.

I've forgotten 3 times now to turn that on when replying to a message. Can this option be added to the user profile, or did I just miss th esetting somewhere?

Go here and select "Yes" to "Notify me upon replies by default:"
