Version 4.2.2 is released

This release fixes Xbox One detection, adds support for several new devices, improves folder population speed, fixes bugs and more!

Upgrade Notes:

For Linux versions below 4.2.1:
In 4.2.1 we renamed many of the renderer configuration files, so we recommend clearing the "renderers" folder before updating.

Thanks for the release! Just updated to it on windows, and on first load all video files are offered to be transcoded by ffmpeg in every renderer (had no time to investigate further and produce logs).
Did anyone observe anything like that? Wolf

Thanks for reporting this, Wolfgan. It's surprising since we didn't really make changes I would expect to cause this in this version, I'm interested to see logs if you can reproduce it :)

Thanks for the new release. 4.2.2 is working fine for me (not everything is offered as transcoded). Also looking forward to 5.0.0-a2.

I noticed that 5.0.0-a1 does not defer to MEncoder for files with embedded fonts (like anime), unlike 4.2.1. Perhaps this was added after a1 was released? If so sorry....

My Xbox One still won't detect it, i'm using Mac and using the new 4.2.2 release. Anyone else having the same problem?

I am having the exact same issue! No matter what I try, it doesn't pick up my Xbox One but picks up my Xbox 360 just fine. Please fix.
