Fixed URLs for media files

Hi All,
Is there a way to create permanent and fixed URLs for the media files UMS streams? I'm using UMS in an educational setting, and would like to use a fixed URL for each media file so that a student clicks a link in a class webpage and is redirected to UMS to play a specifically assigned media file without having to navigate through UMS webpages to find it.
