Okay, I've finally been able to try version 7.9.0 and these are the results:

In my older Samsung TV (5 or 6 years ago, model UE40H6400AK) the subtitles do not work, neither in Spanish nor in English. They simply do not appear, either using the normal playback option or the "NO TRANSCODING" options. That is the same behavior as with versions 8 and 9.

In my newest Samsung TV (from 1 year ago, model UE49NU7105 LED 4K) the subtitles do work correctly with this version, both Spanish and English. By the way I have to add, that now that I have thought about it, on this TV the subtitles do work with the newest versions of your software (8 and 9). So the problem is only with older Samsung models.

Regards.

Thanks for your time, but unfortunately we didn't find the solution yet.

By the way this snapshots install much faster then the 9.0.0 release.

Hmm ok, that's a shame. I'll have another look at what else it could be soon.

Thanks for your effort, I'm pretty sure we will find it someday. ;)

And are these snapshots based on 9.0.1?

I wondered why these versions installed faster then the 9.0.0.

Yes these snapshots are made from the latest unreleased code. It may be hard drive caching making it faster since those files are already there

Can you please provide logs from https://www.universalmediaserver.com/up ... 35dafe.exe where you repeat the actions of the previous logs? The video should be the same too if possible.
The reason is because I'm seeing a lot of differences between the 7.6.3 and 9.0.0 logs you posted but most of those are probably unrelated so this should narrow things down

*hits refresh every day*

by the way I am very motivated to fix this bug, I try to pick one bug at a time to focus on with UMS and this is my one for now - if I focus on too many at once then they don't get finished
