How To Change The Default Conf File

Post by AnnieBody »

The title says it all.
From install UMS uses a default conf file.
I have been advised not to use the (Select Profiles) option to utilise my preferred conf and settings as this causes two instances to run, which means UMS stops working altogether.
So, after install, how do I get UMS to default to a conf file of my choosing instead.
Should be simple to do but apparently it is not.
Prove me wrong please!

Just run UMS
Don't use (select profile)
If you don't need it don't use it.

This has nothing to do with the default.conf

If you want to use a different config when detection fails, in the General Settings tab you can set one in the "Default renderer when automatic detection fails:" list.
If you want to force using that no matter what click the "force default renderer" box next to it.

As it hasn't failed I selected the default renderer.
This then adds a second device with an invalid IP address: 100 is my PC.

Other feedback has advised the reason for UMS not working is because it is running twice.
So how do I now remove the unwanted device and prevent UMS from using it?
