Brand new philips tv not regonized

Post by ceasar »

I just bought a brand new Philips smart TV 48pfs8109 with android 4.2

It auto detects as a standard philips but then I cannot play any movies
If I select renderer philips aurea it cannot detect such a device

In the logs it gives me unknown device with the Possible identifying HTTP headers: User-Agent: Linux2.6/0.0 UPnP/1.0 PhilipsIntelSDK/1.4 DLNADOC/1.50

Then it play most video's, how ever 3d with external subtitles the subtitles will not show up

Anyone with such an device and know what renderer to choose ?

We haven't added 3D subtitle support yet, but it is planned for the 5.0.0 release which isn't far away.
In the meantime you can convert your subtitles to 3D subtitles using another program, like 3DSubtitler, then UMS can work with those converted ones :)

I returned the Philips smart TV 48pfs8109 because the software is so buggy that even normal functions don't work :-)

Now I bought an samsung UE48HU7500L 48 and even the subs on 3d is working

UMS regonized the tv as an samsung Allshare.
The only thing that is not working is the Sort order

I set it to date, latest above but the samsumg always show it in alphabetic order

Anything I can do about this ?

I just checked and sort order works for me, so I guess maybe the Samsung TV is re-ordering the files itself? If you post logs I can double-check that
