Sony Bravia W7 times out playing .m4a file

Post by gucci70 »

I've been impressed with the speed of UMS but unfortunately am unable to play audio files downloaded from ITunes (.m4a) files. These are transcoded by FFMPEG but it appears that the TV times out before the transcode is complete. If I transcode the file manually using the same command line options and then select that file, it all works fine. The same thing happens if I try this from my Android phone, with a number of different DLNA renderers.

If anybody has any suggestions, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi gucci70, you could try changing the line in renderers/Sony-BraviaW.conf from "TranscodeAudio = WAV" to "TranscodeAudio = MP3" or "TranscodeAudio = LPCM", let me know how that goes.
