What happened to the Samsung j55xx profile

Post by squadjot »

What happened to the Samsung j55xx profile? Did it get rolled back or something?

I didn't save a profile as i didn't expect it to get lost, so i don't have a suggestion to how the profile should look, but regarding supported formats; they are as following

Video:

3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project, .3gp)
AVI (Audio Video Interleaved, .avi)
ASF (Advanced Systems Format, .asf .wma .wmv)
DivX (.avi, .divx, .mkv)
Flash Video (.flv, .f4v, .f4p, .f4a, .f4b)
H.263
H.264 / MPEG-4 Part 10 / AVC video
MKV (Matroska Multimedia Container, .mkv .mk3d .mka .mks)
M2TS (Blu-ray Disc Audio-Video (BDAV) MPEG-2 Transport Stream, .m2ts, .MTS)
MP4 (MPEG-4 Part 14, .mp4, .m4a, .m4p, .m4b, .m4r, .m4v)
MPEG-4
TS (MPEG Transport Stream, .ts, .tsv, .tsa)
VC-1
VP7
VP8
VOB (Video Object, .VOB)
VRO (DVD-VR, .VRO)
WebM
WMV (Windows Media Video, .wmv) (2-6 Channels)

Audio:

AAC (Advanced Audio Coding)
FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec, .flac)
M4A (MPEG-4 Audio, .m4a)
MIDI
MP3 (MPEG-2 Audio Layer II, .mp3)
OGG (.ogg, .ogv, .oga, .ogx, .spx, .opus)
WMA (Windows Media Audio, .wma)
WAV (Waveform Audio File Format, .wav, .wave)
APE

Edit: I'm pretty sure it's the same for all Samsung J series

Edit2: Infact, since transcoding is not working for J series ( not working, as in.. nobody figured it out yet) ..i suggest the TV should just stream all formats direclty (no transocding)

Ok, maybe i dont understand, but, for an example why is WMV not included as supported formats?
Edit: I'm pretty sure WMV in the profile at some point.

That file has never had its video support settings changed since it was added in 2015 https://github.com/UniversalMediaServer ... fa532363bf
If you can help us improve it that would be great just let me know what works and I can edit it
