PS4 not picking up UMS when using LAN cable

My PS4 pro fails to pick up the UMS when I hard wire it (using a TP Link) it allows me to go online etc and do anything but that!
The PS4 when using Wi/Fi picks up UMS no problem and was working fine but has been struggling with frame rate these last few days so trying to see if it is a speed quality.
I also have a Samsung Smart TV and this is able to pick up the UMS whether I use a cable or Wi/Fi
Any suggestions please.
