i`ve been asking for a proper "Bravia MN" config for 6 months, i thought Bravia W or HX would work but its iffy.

i tried the playstation 3 config in ums last night. it might work on your bravia
Win 10 64bits
Qnap TS-212 2x3TB WD Red
Sony Bravia MN (my own conf)

Thanks for that info, i'd be willing to do whatever work, if it is clear what i need to do to help. Just not sure sure what i should do with the information to build a conf file.

Please you can read instructions at http://www.universalmediaserver.com/faq ... erSupport1? You can make your renderer.conf and set

Code: Select all

UserAgentAdditionalHeader = X-AV-Client-Info
UserAgentAdditionalHeaderSearch = BDP-S6500
to recognize your renderer. Than you can add other settings described in the DefaultRenderer.conf. If you could be able to manage it it would be very appreciated by us and we can add your setting to the UMS. This topic is meant to ask users for help with the renderers development not to ask as for support.

ok, when i have some time, i will see if i can give it a try. i was confused because of the first post; which basically says to just post your log file.
SubJunk wrote:We are always interested in adding support for new renderers and improving existing support.
As of 5.0.0 we have added a more accurate way to detect and differentiate renderers, so if you want us add or improve support for your renderer all we usually need is a log file from version 5.0.0+, created after your renderer has connected to UMS.
If you post that log in this thread I will take care of the rest.

Full instructions on how to provide the logs we need

Re: Help us improve support for your devices

Hello Subjunk,

I had been using UMS for a few years, my renderer is a Panasonic TC-P60ST50 (also known as the ST50) ..., I'm able to stream most media that I have stored in my pc, but I'm not able to receive any web content. Recently I installed Jumpy Plugin and (Infidel) says the issues I have, not able to stream (TED for instance) are due to the renderer. Bottom line nothing from the web will stream on this set

I'm cutting and pasting his reply:

At this point with the Jumpy Plugin correctly installed and nothing being streamed successfully to the renderer, what would be the next step?,

Apologies for taking so long. Your log shows many different attempts and I was going one by one. I should first say that jumpy's job is to deliver a downloadable link to ums, so any later playback problems with renderer support or network bandwidth throughput are separate and unrelated to jumpy.
The most serious issue seems to be renderer related (as you already guessed), for example in the case of TED jumpy delivers the link and ums launches ffmpeg which begins transcoding and the stream goes to the Viera ST50, so everything is ok at the ums side. It's not clear whether the renderer has timed out as you say, or maybe the "Panasonic TV" renderer profile is not quite right for the Viera ST50.
For the Livestream addon the fault is with jumpy, which doesn't set a required cookie and ffmpeg fails with "HTTP error 403 Forbidden". I'm fixing this now and the next version should be able to do it right.
That's the story so far :) .

Attached, my logs and thanks a lot for a wonderful program ...

My "Sony Bravia W" tv is not recognised as such but as unknown.

This is part of the log:

Code: Select all

it's basically a Sony Bravia W that had its board replaced but Sony didn't "brand it" as a W but MN or DMR. All the functions are the same and it can play the same x264 content as the W.

i made a renderer conf based on the braviaW conf and attached for you to add it to ums.

Hi,

I have a Sony BRAVIA KDL-55W805C television. UMS recognizes it as 3 devices "google-android-chromecast", "android", and in log I see "unknown renderer".
Streaming does not work. It shows that video is playing in UMS, but on TV it stucks on Loading...

On my other Samsung televison everything works.

I am attaching trace logs to the post.

Regards,
Branko
