Panasonic interlace video and SRT

Post by carlotino »

Hi... I have a problem playing video with lower quality than 720p... in that case video and subtitle's text looks "interlaced".
It works great with 720p and higher resolution.

What should I do to fix that?

It's probably just how the TV renders video, my Panasonic TV does it like that too!

Hate to say it, but with Panasonic's recommended DLNA server (Twonky) the video looks fine, even with non-720p videos. Perhaps the key is in the encoder. I would love to see the same quality in UMS.

Thank you very much SubJunk! Great work!

I use old subjunk build PS3 Media Server, and put video scaler to 1920x1080 in MEncoder options, all sd material looks great (overscan), try it carlotino and post here results. For some weird reason in universal media server this options not working for me with Panasonic G20 tv. Maybe it is a problem with .conf file i don't know...
