My LG model LA6200SA can't see UMS

Post by rabello »

After the last 3 or 4 UMS updates, my LA6200SA stopped seeing my UMS... approximately after oct/nov of 2016... I press the "input" button and can't see the UMS icon.
On the other hand, de UMS finds the TV and displays it on the state (first) tab.

The funny part is that the TV correctly finds de "microsoft" media server running on the same computer.

Here is the log: (192.168.0.106 is the IP of my TV)
21:37:28 TRACE Receiving a M-SEARCH from [192.168.0.106:1265]: M-SEARCH * HTTP/1.1

Any ideas??

Without any log, it's difficult.

You can try to edit the LG-LA6200.conf file and modify this line:

Code: Select all

UpnpDetailsSearch = LA6200
If that doesn't work for you, you should post your full trace log as explained here:

Upload it on a Google Drive or any website without ads or access code, like WeTransfer.com, and post your link here.

Good :+1:

I thing your firewall configuration could be the culprit.
For testing purpose you should try to disable your firewall(s) and try again. Maybe you have more than one on your PC and/or one in your router.

Of course, if that work as expected, later you'll need to configurate you firewall correctly.

bingo!!!
windows 10 internal firewall was the problem.... I disabled the firewall and the UMS icon "popped" on the TV screen :)))

After removing all "java" firewall rules, the problem is solved.

thanks Sami32! you're the man!

PS: now the question: who changed it? hahaha

Flavio.

Cool 8-)

You are welcome.

Sadly Windows 10 is a spying OS that can change everything to feed it's own need, or America needs...
