Willing to create Pioneer BDP-450 conf

Hey guys,

I'm trying to find the best solution to stream movies to my Pioneer BDP-450 from my PC.
So far the best solution is to use the PS3 Media Server...although there is Universal Media Server. This doesn't run. It seems to die in a loop and only when I close UMS the Pio comes back to life.
Why is PS3 Media Server running with the unknown renderer and UMS not ?

I'm trying to find a solution for streaming mkvs with Dolby True HD sound in it. Do you have any suggestions ?

I thought the Oppo 93 conf might be a good solution to start but not any of the files I've trying to run (mkv,avis), run.

The pioneer supports many formats found here:

I'm willing to help all the pioneer guys but gimme a good starting point !

Short update...I tried the Oppo config on the PS3 Media server...there it works.
With the BDP-450 I cant get the UMS to run....any ideas ?

Thanks for posting Tschacko, Please post your .conf file so we can take a look at it. Also post a debug log set on trace as per these instructions viewtopic.php?f=9&t=556 making sure you click the restart server so it can attempt to detect you BDP-450

I always even close the universal media server if I do a change
So the PS3 Media Server runs with the unkown renderer and the Oppo-93 conf with no problems. The UMS doens't work - even with the unkown renderer. It have the feeling that it also gets stuck browsing the movie library showing that he tries to serve the movie. This is not wrong but it takes him some time to stop and to enable scrolling back on the BDP-450. If I click on a movie nothing happens. The BDP freezes and only when I close it it gets back to work.

The config is the Oppo93 conf that works on the PS3 media server...the trace log I will post later...when I'm back home

I tried it...doesn't work. I can scroll through the movies...but playing just doens't start and hangs up the device....here another trace log ! Any suggestions Optimus ?
