my UMS won't play videos anymore via Jumpy...
Error: There is no inputstream to return
If I paste the resolved URL from Jumpy in the browser it will play the videos.
Any help appreciated!

Try enabling resolve_at_playback in jumpy.conf:

Code: Select all

resolve_at_playback=true

Hey infidel. I'm also having issues playing videos via jumpy. The video buffer keeps bouncing back to zero. The streams are either stuttering or not playing at all. Enable resolve at playback didn't work for me. Any help is appreciated.

As mentioned before, buffering/stuttering and other playback issues aren't directly related to jumpy itself. Jumpy's job is just to deliver links to UMS. Having said that I'm happy to test anything, but the documentary.net addon (v1.1.1) fails for me with a json error immediately on opening, both in xbmc and in jumpy, so I can't replicate your situation at all. If you have another test-case I'll look at it (providing it works ok in xbmc, that is :)).

Thanks again for trying. I figured that jumpy wasn't the issue. The streams are playing or attempting to play differently in UMS 3.3 vs 3.4. In UMS 3.3 the streams will buffer at a negative number in the billions, but in some cases play after a while. In 3.4 the buffer fluctuates between 0 and a positive number. The stream will try to play, but will eventually skip to the next video or stream on the playlist and do the same thing over. I'm pretty much stuck using the 3.0 alpha version. Since any version above that I have been having these major buffer issues for some odd reason.
Here is a debug from the veetle addon. Maybe there is something you can spot there. I truly appreciate your time and effort :)

Hi all.

I have installed the latest UMS + Jumpy plugin, and got a problem.

I have also installed xbmc addon ReLive, ..

But evry time i trie to access some music i get follow error, and it doesnt matter if i use XBMC or my WD Tv Live as client.

I have tried to use "ffmpeg -i "stream url" to get some info about the source .. and it's seems it's a simple mp3 stream.

But my clients cant play it, .. does someone have any idea ?

/M
