Password protected folders?

Post by kradnam »

Is there an addon or a way to put a password on a certain folder?
Example, if i got a Movies, TV, Audio and porn folder and and of course want to limit certain smaller peoples from viewing the movie folder...... j/k, from viewing the pron folder, is there a way to put a PW on it ? or to hide till i want to see it? or just not add it to the listing?

OK, so using the UMS5+ pin code description, I have placed a file "UMS.code" into the directory with the "UMS.conf" file. I then added a line of text to the UMS.code file, EXample, 192.168.0.8=*private.*,1234, now if i am correct, trying to view this folder from a device, such as my PS3 should make me enter a code? or do certain devices not work for this?

Example, I have 3 folders for UMS to display, MOVIES, TV and ADULT, I want to hide the adult folder for obvious reason, whats the best way to keep it from showing on devices such as my TV, IPAD or other device and only show on my ps4 / ps3?

If the UMS.code don't work on all devices, how bout theUMS.deny, would it look like this in the folder?

192.168.0.8.name=.*private.*
192.168.0.9.name=.*private.*
OR
192.168.0.8.name=.*private.*,192.168.0.9.name=.*private.*

I used ps3 media server for years, but it never had anything like this that i knew of.
Thanks for any info
