Should set loglevel t at least debug. Plus enlose channels own logs. Anyhow try setting "channels.net_disc=true" in the conf file. If it still fails add "channels.mpeg2_force=true" and then uploadf ALL logs. Use the debug packer see the traces tab...

Thanks for trying to help, added the "channels.net_disc = true" to the bottom of the conf file, the "channels.mpeg2_force" was already set to "true".
This resulted in a new error showing up when pressing "X" at the program to watch:

"A network error has occurred. (00000000)"

Here are the debug files: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/28202679/ums_dbg.zip

Late following up on this... will need to give 1.89 a try (logs below based on UMS 1.40 + PMSE 1.6.1 + Ch 179 + HTTP V1 - which resolved null exception).

Time stamp for video/no audio .flv is 2012-07-21 16:00:11.826. Thanks.

Hey Sharkhunter, just checking in to see if the logs shed any light on my .flv audio playback issue. Thanks!

Hey guys,
So I've been messing around with PMS and now UMS for the last few days trying to get icefilms working. I tried a few different things, the latest being a fresh install of 1.4.0, then installing the channels plugin from there. This seems to install all of the dependencies it requires. Then I update my tv_plug_190 with tv_plug_191 renamed to tv_plug_190. When I ran this, I can get a few things from navi-x working, which is cool, but what I really want is icefilms. It gives me the "This content cannot be played. (800288E1)" error every time I try playing a 180upload source. Here's my log files. A common error seems to be this cannot run program "curl". Does anyone know what that is?

Code: Select all

[Caused by: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "curl": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified

	at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Unknown Source) ~[na:1.6.0_31]
	at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Unknown Source) ~[na:1.6.0_31]

another code that shows up a few times is this process cmd.exe has a return code of 255

Code: Select all

and also ffmpeg.exe has a return code of 1

edit: manually created the zip file because the pack debug files wasn't working (creating broken archives)

edit2: also I seem to have two channel.log's one of them I renamed to channel2.log. channel.log is empty but is running 1.91, but channel2.log is 14MB and seems to be running 1.71??

update: downloading new ffmpeg.exe to see if it will fix it

Just to follow-up - this seems be a Renderer issue. My PS3 renders .flv audio while my Kuro 150fd (G8) does not. Maybe there's a codec limitation in its "HomeMedia" software - damn good tv otherwise. Meanwhile I'm digging into Kuro.conf for further troubleshooting.

Hi SH,
It seems that I left message on PS3 forum and did not realize that this post is more active now. Jumpy should start post here too.

For Olympics, I tried writin a channel which has cable sign-on authentication? Site popped up to ask cable and login information and then validates before running video in browser. I tried and almost could see list of live streams but it did not succeed as videos were embedded in youtube+nbcolympics. Any suggestions for me in future?

I also see that you have new 1.91..do I have all new channels. entries required in UMS.conf ?? I guess that defaults mostly work.

Code: Select all

channels.path = C:\\ProgramData\\UMS\\channels
channels.save = C:\\ProgramData\\UMS\\channels\\saved
channels.save_ts = C:\\ProgramData\\UMS\\channels\\saved
channels.debug = true
channels.subtitles = false
channels.group_folder = false
channels.favorite = true
channels.navix_upload = local
channels.long_savename = true
channels.oldSub = false
#channels.net_disc=true
#channels.mpeg2_force=true

Hi glenrocks

I actualy read your post but then I was caught up in the olymics myself :)

Without knowing how th cable signon works I assume you could do something similar to this

Code: Select all

channe Cable {
   login {
     url=....
    user=...
    passwd=...
    type=cookie
  associate=other site
   }
   folder {
     name=fake
  }
}
The before you browse "other site" just browse in to cable to force login and fetch any cookies.

Hope this could help...

hi there,
so i installed the universal media server, and i installed the channel plugin in the ui. then i copied someguys conf, and i pasted it in mine.
when i go on my ps3, and i click on universal media server, there are no channels there. its only my hdd, and the web folder. if i try to view a movie in the web folder everything works fine.
ive tried changing the channel path but still the problem is still here.
heres my debug file
