3.0.0-a2 crashes when browsing

Version 3.0.0-a2 crashes (APPCRASH javaw.exe) for me, with browsing when opening a folder with media files.
If i uses the UMSBuilder-1.5 the result is the same as with the official 3.0.0-a2 version.

But by using the "ums-3.0.0-a2-jar-with-dependencies.jar" from the jenkins server UMS does not crashes.

This jar file includes the latest changes for the official release of 3.0.0-a2:

Unfortunately gives the debug.log no info for the crash.
I used the "clean install" option while installing.

Same here with the official release in 3.0.0-a2 on windows 7x32. a1 was working OK thou...

It runs ok for me on a Win7-64 bit machine with Java 1.7.0_17 64-bit.

I have the same problem - 3.0.0-a2 crashes while browsing files via PS3.
Can't attach any logs, cause had downgraded to 3.0.0-a1.
3.0.0-a1 is working perfect

Having no problems with my samsung tv renderers (using 3.0.0-a2), but i will give my ps3 a go and see if it has a problem.
Using Win x64 with latest java 1.7.0_25 but i did build my own from the latest git

I thought this issue was not related by the used renderer.
However now i have tested the official 3.0.0-a2 install on the 4 renderers that i have:

-PS3: Java crashes
-Philips TV: Java crashes (I am the author of the PhilipsPFL config file)
-Philips HTS: Java crashes (also my own config file)
-Android phone: No error! I can browse and play without crash.

Hope this info is useful for the devs to solve this issue.
I searched on my computer for Java dump/error files, but could not find any.

I have not yet tried to install the Java 64-bit version.
Could this solve the crash with the official instal since i have a 64 bit pc/windows?
Guess this should be strange because 3.0.0-a1 works great with the 32-bit instal.

downloaded from the Jenkins Snapshot Build Server that works fine.
Just rename "ums-3.0.0-a2-jar-with-dependencies.jar" to "UMS.jar" and overwrite
the origional "UMS.jar" in the "Universal Media Server" installation directory.

Hi all,

been testing 3.0.0-a2 as well and i have experienced the same Java-crashes. Folder browsing seemed to work OK till i get down to the "movie-level"; then the movie-filename is not visible. When a browse back through the folders back to the root and try to enter another folder, JAVA crashes.

Uninstalled Java32 and installed Java64 and that seemed to solve the problem.

Enclosed the 3 error-logs in 1 zip-file: debug_java32 and java32-crashreport are from the 32 bits JAVA environment, debug_java64 is from after installing 64 bits JAVA when things started to work OK.

Config: Windows7 x64, Philips PFL7605 renderer (BTW: thanx Leroy for the config!)

Perhaps this helps in shining some light. All other functions seem OK by the way, so basically i'm a happy camper again Keep up the good work SJ!!!
