Mencoder giving me fits (returning code 1...)

Post by Turbo Mach 5 »

Hello, long time user of PMS and now UMS. Something has happened:

Trying to play one of my .mkv files. Video plays but no audio whatsoever I've tried even playing the video in the #Transcode# folder but no dice, one of the renderers fails and the others do the same thing: no sound. I know it worked on older versions of like PMS but that was I think with an older mencoder. Whatever ze case may be, I can't play this particular mkv. Any ideas? Also (as I'm uploading the debug.log), it's spamming Unknown number of audio channels detected. Using 6. Both Traces and debug.log will show.

Other than that, keep up the good work! This program has made me happy happy happy!

After 1.3.0, it seems that FFMpeg/Avisynth (using the Transcode folder) allows for my shows to play again! WOOHOO! Tytyty SubJunk! I Guess now maybe I should see if FFMpeg/Avisynth should play all my files and if so, set it as the main engine for me. It still complains about unknown number of audio channels detected, using 6 but meh hehehe.

You'll be pleased to know that in the next release, FFmpeg is hugely improved in terms of audio sync and stability :)

Just loaded 1.4. Even better! Seems I can put it back to Mencoder and it plays them properly! Keep it up SubJunk!
