Beta version 7.0.0 broke 6.7.3 version

Post by mo4ya2000 »

I originally installed the stable version which is 6.7.3 for Mac Sierra. I upgraded it to the Beta to see what the differences were. I uninstalled it completely, re-installed the stable 6.7.3 but when I click start, nothing happens. It is showing in my activity folder but nothing. When I installed the Beta version back, it worked. Something in the beta version (a setting perhaps) is getting left even when uninstalling and preventing the stable version from working again. Any ideas how to fix.

It's probably caused by 7.0.0 doing an upgrade to the database. Delete the "database" folder in your profile folder and try to start 6.7.3.

Exactly as Nadahar suggests. I had the same problem and found the answer in the log.

Is there a comparable fix for Windows?

Yes, you can do this on any operating system. We have a note on our 7.0.0 release threads about this too.
Why downgrade though?
