ROUTER-HUB-PS3 Connect problem!!

this case, i wanna play movie. :)

so i turn on the PS3, and try find media server.

but can't found PC1 media server. :(


and :idea:


i install universal media server in junk PC2

found media server from PS3

and.. FOUND!! :shock:


what's problem??


ps. PC1

'cmd -> ping 192.168.0.11' is worked

I don't know what "hub mode" is, but if it's the same as "bridge mode" it should work. Try to turn off all firewalls on PC1 and see if that helps.

When it comes to using ping to test for connectivity, that isn't enough when it comes to UPnP/DLNA. Your ping use unicast which travels easily through routers. For UMS to work, multicast is needed as well - which isn't easily tested with something like ping. It is often the case that a router will allow unicast but block multicast. "Bridge mode" should allow all traffic to pass though.
