Samsung KU6000 Series 6 4k Playback issue

Post by rowdyruffbrick »

Hey guys,

I know samsung 4k tv threads have been up quite often but I still cant seem to get it right. My 65" KU6000 tv is having issues playing my 4k files:
-the audio is faster than the picture
-It buffers every few seconds
-at a certain point when it sorta plays smoothly, the picture just stutters totally with no sound at all.

I have attached my logs, since the normal one didnt work I used this renderer from this thread viewtopic.php?t=8887
the same results ensued. Im not sure if its my computer issue or something else. Really hope someone can help me on this. Thanks in advance.

Try attached conf. In the original Samsung-UHD.conf were wrong settings. "aac" instead of "aac-lc" and "aac-he" instread of "he-aac". That is why your video is transcoded with all that side effects. Transcoding 4k video on the fly is really CPU demanding task.

In your log I see that some audio formats are not recognised like for video

Code: Select all

ndhaIDFL.EuropaLeague.Liverpool.vs.BorussiaDortmund.14.04.2016.720p.QuarterFinal.2ndLeg.English.2ndHalf.mkv
Can you provide the MediaInfo for that file?

Thanks for the help! unfortunately even with the new renderer i still face the same issues. I have played more files this time just to see if the problem can be found easier. Also one of the files couldnt be played at all and there was a check your internet connection error while trying to play it.

And I'm not sure if this is the information youre looking for but it's audio codec is mp4a.
Attached is the log for the bug.

You have to install MediaInfo from this page https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo open the media file and set the MediaInfo to text view. Then you can either export the result or simply copy the text from the view and put it here.

It seems to me like a bug in the UMS.

@valib I think the AAC "Main" profile is pretty rare and not very well supported. I don't remember hos we handle it, but it's neither AAC-LC or HE-AAC.

Is this file affecting the playback of the 4k files?
