Post by ManWithNoName »

Hello everybody!
I have a macbook with UMS and android smartphone.
MacBook setup as a renderer and on the smartphone installed bubbleupnp.
How can I manage and stream media to the mac?

UMS is a server only. It can serve media to BubbleUPnP, not the other way around. There are generally few UPnP/DLNA capable clients available for desktops, and I really don't know what is available for macOS. Both VLC and Kodi have renderer implementations though, although both have issues. I'm using the renderer in Kodi 16 a lot when testing, which works pretty well. The UPnP implementation is Kodi 17 has been replaced, and the last time I tested this it was too buggy to be useful at all. There might be other software in the mac'osphere that I have no knowledge about though.
