Transcoding plays the first second of video twice, then A/V out of sync

Post by tomaz »

Whenever I try to play video files my TV does not support natively, if I play then using ffmpeg or mencoder transcoding, the video and audio play correctly for about a second (or a little less), then the video restarts from the beginning, while the audio continues playing normally. Thus, the video and the audio are out of sync from there on. I have been unable to find anyone reporting a similar problem on the forums. I've played with all sorts of settings and nothing seems to cure the problem. I am using UMS 9.0.1 running on a Fedora 24 VirtualBox virtual machine, and the client is a Samsung 6 Series (KU6000) TV. What could be causing this problem? Thank you.
