Getting UMS to scale to more cores?
I don't know if it's the hardware, the platform, the application, or the videos themselves, but I can't get UMS to use more than 4 threads when transcoding. Is there a setting somewhere that controls this?

Check under the "Transcoding settings" tab. There is a setting there that controls the number of threads to use.

Hmm, it's correctly set to 8, but CPU usage hovers around 50-60% while transcoding, according to Task Manager.
Re: Getting UMS to scale to more cores?
If you look at the performance tab in task manager, you can see if it's actually using all cores, since it might be that it's using 50-60% of the total CPU power while using all cores
Re: Getting UMS to scale to more cores?
Rather than using all cores equally, it seems to have pegged 1 core heavily:
I take it there's a bottleneck somewhere?

Re: Getting UMS to scale to more cores?
There's no reason it should use 100% CPU unless there are performance issues and it's struggling to transcode, are there performance issues?
