Any news on this meanwhile?

A fix would be awesome, a workaround or any hint is more than welcome.

Currently we are stuck on 5.x :(

It seems to me that this issue is random and therefore hard to test. The only change between some of the builds I've posted has been text in an unrelated README file. It seems it has become less reliable at a certain point in time but it's hard to determine when or what caused it. I do want to fix it and I need to spend time on it, I plan to do that this weekend.

I did some testing and the DVDs I tried worked perfectly. Can you please send me a link to one that doesn't work?

Here is a link to a DVD that works with 5.1.4 and NOT with 5.2.0 and higher.

Thank you

I don't know how it can work with the UMS 5.1.4 when the ISO is completely corrupted. I see that the first part VTS_01_0.VOB has 0 bytes so it is not playable.

The DVD I uploaded on my dropbox account is working on my equipment, even if you dont' believe me, and even if VTS_01_0.VOB has 0 bytes.
When SubJunk asked me about a link to a non working DVD, I was annoyed because I have no link to my DVD collection !
Uploading a full 7gigabytes DVD was impossible for me, it would have taking ages with my slow DSL connexion.
So, I made a DVD remaster with only one small program, taken from the extras of the original DVD, with DVDRemaster 8.0.3 software on OSX, in order to give me a small DVD that I could easily upload.
That's what I made, and before uploading, I tested the freshly made DVD with DVDplayer on the Mac, and with UMS 5.1.4, 5.2.0 and 6.3.0 on the PS3.
I'm not totally stupid, and did not upload a corrupted DVD.

I spent too much time now on describing and trying to give elements to solve this problem.
I did not upload a corrupted DVD, I tested it, and UMS 5.2.0 and higher has a real problem with DVD ISOs and VIDEO_TS on the Sony PS3.
I other members want to continue on this subject (like Makadamiä), good luck guys !
For me, I'll be still using 5.1.4 !!!

Have a good day.

Hi chrisl, I understand this is frustrating for you, and it's frustrating for me too. Please try to remember we are all volunteers here just trying to help :) I'm downloading your zip file now

I really know and remember that you are all volunteers here.
This is why I encourage all people using UMS to send you a little contribution.
And I really thank all the team for supporting and improving UMS !
In my last answer, I was just slightly upset by the tone of valib's last post concerning my upload.
I apologise for that.
:)
