OK I've made a version that is hopefully in the right direction. It will make browsing slower for now but if it works I can look at optimizing the speed. Please try it: http://www.spirton.com/uploads/UMS/UMS-Serenus-6.exe

Hell yeah! here are my results:

Anime = It played 3 out of 4 files that I threw at it, I'm attaching the mediainfo for the one that didn't play, it thew the "Video File cannot be played" error

TV Series + Subtitles = OK, perfect.

TV Series - Subtitles = OK, perfect.

Attached you may find the log with TRACE ENABLE.

Rock on! I'll keep testing throughout the day and let you know what else I notice.

Great, I'm glad it's mostly fixed now :) Is it noticeably slower to list files though?
As for the Naruto file, that's weird since it works for me... Our code is being mysterious. Can you try it again?

I uninstalled / installed, rebooted, restarted, did whatever I could and it still doesn't play :(

How's the speed while listing files?

It doesn't seem that laggy or slow to me, you can tell it's slightly slower than the other version, but not by much.

I've noticed 2 strange things on every 3+ build that I've tested:

1) Sometimes the audio loses sync and it comes before the actual video scene

2) At every video file when it gets close to the ending 15-20 seconds before the file is over the TV stops playing and throws an error "video content cannot be played"or something like that, if I press play sometimes it picks up where it left out, others it just restarts the file, but skipping forward lets me watch the ending.

Cool, that's good news about the speed. We've made some more speed improvements since that version too.

Thanks for reporting those 2 things. Do they definitely not happen on 2.6.3? I can make you a build of 2.6.3 with the Bravia fix if you want to compare

I'll try testing with the 2.6.3 that I have but if you could generate a 2.6.3 with the Bravia fix that would be awesome.

I just tested 2.6.3 and it did cut off at the last 10 seconds as well of an episode of Chicago Fire.

Attached you may find the debug log, I didn't have trace enabled, so I'm trying to retest it.
