Problems with .mt2s on 2.5

[FIXED in 2.6]

Problem now fixed although need to switch off the transcode / audio / ltsm switch for it to work

And with the release of LAV 5.6 there has also been a noticeable improvement in the FFMPEG stability !!! :ugeek:

]2.5 with FFMPEG and .mt2s is still giving problems.

But strange behaviour
I started the usual test file (VC-1, AC-3) with high bandwidth and no change
The bandwidth peaked at 400mbs with stuttering at 200mbs

I then tried a different .mt2s file (VC-1, DTS) and get Error 800200E1 on the PS3
The same happens with MENcoder but TSMuxer and Avisynth/FFMPEG are OK.
MKV file are also OK with FFMPeg.

And then when I retried the original file it played the high bandwidth sequence with no problems peaking at ONLY 10Mbs !!!

Can you provide samples of the files you're having issues with?

Can you please explain how I can cut a 20 second extract from a .mt2s file - I can't find any tools that will do this and according to Google they do not really exists.

Hi

I've tried uploading 2 files

1. the birds scene - high bandwidth
2. sample video - wont play FFMEG (get PS3 error) but does play with Avisynth/FFMPEG

Note they are too large for your server and won't upload - they are 20MB each and play for less than 10 seconds each.

Either I make them shorter or can you provide an alternative upload link.

There's plenty of those free file dump sites. Just post to one of these type of sites. Or look here.

Ok

I've sent you a PM with the file sharing details
Please let me know when you have the files
Or if you need more information

Most of my ,mt2s files are still not playing with 2.5.2
I still get "Error 800200E1 on the PS3"

I have attached an extract from the log file. Note the file was selected, failed, and then I tried again.
I get "DEBUG 2013-03-19 11:24:44.593 [Thread-243] Failed to open bitstream filter h264_mp4toannexb for stream 0 with codec copy: Invalid argument" repeated many times.

Note the same issue was happening with Serviio back in Aug 2012 and still open in Feb 2013 ... ..

http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7141

"Bad ffmpeg parameter causes transcode failure"

I tried loading the latest static beta of FFMPEG (http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/) but still get the same error ..
