[Solved] Metadata display issues

Post by WsG » Wed Dec 14, 2016 11:37 pm

UMS 6.5.2.0
Windows 7
Samsung UE46ES6800 television Used as media player.

UMS is great.
Much better than the Samsung offering that looses directories and can not handle large libraries and just quits because it can...

But
I have a small problem with UMS that I did not have with Samsung DLNA server.

My music library has all the metadata correctly formatted.
Artist, Album, Date, Genre etc.

But on my television I see for the Genre feild the "MediaInfo" code for the field rather than the verb.

Ie The metadata is "Rock" but on the telly it shows "Genre_017"
This coresponds to line 379 in the MediaInfo codes as shown here:

https://github.com/thespooler/mediainfo ... .BC.CasMny

Lines 361 thru 509 are shown on my telly instead of the verb metadata.

Metadata has " Club" My telly displays "Genre_112"
Metadata has " Pop" My telly displays "Genre_013"
Metadata has "Salsa" My telly displays "Genre_143"
etc.

Also the "Date" field on my telly shows "No Date" when the metadata is properly entered.
So I guess the question is :

How do I get UMS to display the verb text of the "genre" rather than the MediaInfo code?
And how do I get the Date to display.

Please help

For the record: this issue is solved now and (I think) should be part of the next release.
