Add "Cover Art" for Folders (not just files, mp4/mkv/etc)

Post by unwanted09 »

So the cover art folder is a great feature ...

but it would be nice to be able to give a folder (only) cover art without all the files inside it getting cover art as well (ie - folder.jpg or folder.png).

Note: I ave also asked this under general discussion in case I have missed something completely.

Hi Subjunk,

I was wondering if you had looked into this any further, and if you thought it would be difficult to implement or inline with how the media file cover art works?

Thank You

I am really interested in this feature as well.
Would be great if my youngest son could navigate through the folders by recognizing the pictures to his favorite movies and series.

Some renderers like my Sony w5500 supports folder.jpg natively

Thanks. Most seem to support it. The issue seems to with how it pushes it to all the videos/music/etc files within the folder.

Would be really nice if the folders could just be given art without the files.

Don't think enough people need this feature though as its been about 10 months. I am really surprised more people would rather have blank covers rather then selectable thumbnails.
