[SOLVED] Forum has been spammed...

Post by kuroukage »

Can someone clean up the forums? Especially the Jumpy topic. It's full of bot spam.

The Jumpy topic is flooded with spam. It went from page 71 to 86 now. Whoever is doing this is either pissed or just a random spammer.

Can you just ban these random accounts?

I think a more permanent solution is needed.

Subjunk and the rest of the Moderation team has taken the necessary steps to reduce (drastically) the amount of SPAM that has been occurring here.

Hopefully with the new tools in place it will be a much more enjoyable experience here. :)

Please continue to report spam users and their posts!

Mods: It's easier to [OC ban] someone, than to triage every post... OC BAN removes all the users posts and account form the system... but also look for IP address trends, keep a excel log if need be and use the IP ban range with a wild card if needed. (xxx.xxx.xxx.*)

I recently wrote an anti-spam mod for this forum that seems to be working well and I'm tweaking it all the time :)
