Help with Overscan Compensation.

Post by AnimeFantasy »

Hi,

I recently downloaded and have been loving the program, but I haven't been able to get the Overscan Compensation to work correctly it seems. Whether it is at 0% or 2.5%, which is my TV's overscan, it seems to not make any difference. If I try to set it higher it goes bonkers and half the screen is a green block and the other is garbled.

Any help that you could provide would be awesome.

Thanks.

So I experimented some more and found out that the problem is being caused from playing 10bit files.

Is there any fix for this issue?

10-bit support is pretty limited, I recommend trying to get 8-bit files :)

Hi, I have same problem, but I fix, put this command in "Custom options" (Mencoder):

-vf expand=-60:-60:40:40

and change values to correct TV screen, in my case works great:

-vf expand=-35:-35:22:22

:)
