Jenkins Server

I just came across this thread on the PS3 Media Server forums.

There also seems to be a build project for ums -> http://pms.smoeller.de/job/ums%20(trunk)/

Wouldn't it be helpful to provide those nightly builds to the end users to gain more feedback ( possibly in a dedicated nightly build thread ) ?

Maybe set up an own "official" instance of Jenkins or at least inform users/developers/beta-testers about this "unoffical" server in the forums or on the homepage?

One could also automate the release notes on the homepage etc. with a build server as soon as a new version is being tagged.

I saw this the other week, Nightly builds may be a good idea but i'm not sure we need it. But others may have a different opinion, you can build your own whenever you want with UMS Builder
