Minor Subtitle Issue

Post by Madoka »

Newer versions of PMS and UMS are working great with subtitles, with only one exception.

When I use an .srt file with minor formatting (like <i> for italics, and basic color codes), it works great with .avi and .mkvs. It seems to use the .ass (top) settings as I will get yellow colored subtitles.

When using similar .srt files with .mp4, I lose all of the basic formatting, and I get the white subtitles which are the plaintext settings. I realize there was a patch with .mp4s a long time ago to just get subtitles working with .mp4s and used the plaintext settings so you had some control over them, but now that .ass subtitles also work with .mp4s, can UMS now use the .ass settings just like .avis and .mkvs for .srts as well?

I'm hoping this may be a minor fix. I have attached debug files for the same .srt subtitle played with an .avi and an .mp4.

Thanks.
