Suggestion

Post by slava494 »

Hi,

I have a good suggestion :-)

I have only one problem with UMS. I´d love to play my movies and videos wihtout transcoding. But subtitles don´t work without transcoding.
The "transcoding" file is not quite comfortable. Yes, I can force/skip transcoding for some extensions, but that doesn´t solve anything.

By my opinion, greate solution will be:

1. use subtitles without transcoding
2. or force/skip transcoding for some folders

Thanks

P.S. sorry for my english, i´m not native speaker :-)

It was introduced in the version 3.0.0 three month ago. :)
Check the PS3.conf how to set you renderer.conf and make a test. It is not 100% guaranteed that it works. It depends on the renderer you have.

It will be interesting to know which renderers it MAY work... anyone has a tentative list?

For now it works for Panasonic, Samsung and WDTVLive. It may work for others but the testing of users is needed. No one of developers have all kind of renederers to test it.
