Hello,
this topic is already discussed very often in this forum. As a solution disabling the Windows firewall was allways suggested.
This also works in my case, but i think it is not usefull to run a Windows PC with a disabled firewall.

Can anybody tell me why only LG TV's in conjuction with UMS have this problem?
Another Media Server (DVBViewer) does not have this problem, although it is avery old version.
Also the Windows Media Player icon will be shown on the TV.

Others Java applications can force the add of rules into your firewall, that's not the case of UMS, by safety, security, users have the choice to do it themself.
It depend on the users to configure correctly their different firewall on their different OS.

With Windows default firewall, the Windows default applications will of course avoid Windows firewall
