UMS 7.1.0 No Window on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

Hi
I just downloaded and started UMS 7.1.0 on my MacBook Pro w. macOS High Sierra 10.13.6.
The windows:
"Select language", "Should UMS start minimized?", "Which of the following best describes your network?", "Should UMS hide its advanced options? They can be enabled later" and "Finally, choose a folder to share. You can choose more later on the Navigation/Share Settings tab.
If you don't choose a folder, we'll choose a default based on your operating system."
pops up OK and I select the default blue choises, BUT when I click OK in the last window the only thing that happens is that "Universal Media Server" shows in the menu. No window shows where I can select folders to share and nowhere can I make a log.
xxx$ java -version
java version "1.8.0_131"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_131-b11)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.131-b11, mixed mode)
(Tried with java 8 also, no difference).
What can I do to solve the problem ?
best regards,
Eigil
