Hello UMS developers and support staff,

First, thank you for this excellent media server application.

I have been using and recommending UMS for years now. I really do enjoy this application.

I upgraded to ver. 7.7.1 and I when I click the Web Interface button I get an error and no web interface. This used to work well. I tried Slimjet, Firefox, Konqueror. I delete the previous user configuration folder. Everything else works as it should.

FYI: I am using Linux Mint 19 and Linux KDE Neon both based on Ubuntu 18.04. I have only tried the web interface in KDE Neon.

This page isn’t working
192.168.x.xxx didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

I have the same problem. No way to get into web interface. Same message error.
OS Linux distro Ubuntu 18.04.
Before it works perfectly.

Please could someone give some info to solve ?

Logs are needed for anyone to help with your problem. Follow the guidelines at the top of the page.

You are right, but no log files seems to be generated by UMS.

= starting UMS in trace mode (also by terminal with root permission) no degub.log file is generated.

To make it working (Web Interface and debuggin too), on Linux Ubuntu 18.04:

- Do not start UMS from java file (ums.jar) but from UMS.sh (make it executable).

-If error message appears download and install the Java 8 JDK: sudo apt-get install openjdk-8-jdk

-Don't use internal java machine (remove or rename linux folder in UMS installation folder)

-Then try again to start UMS from .sh file

Now I can get into web interface and debugging function work properly
