Win7/64 vs XP ?

Post by emerson8 »

Just a quick question;

Got a machine that's "almost" a server for all files within music, videos, etc.
So, just wonder whether it could be any benefit updating from Xp/32 to Win7/64 ?

Besides XP being pronounced dead, then there's also the coming features that might be post-XP in their support.
psping, java8, etc.

Other than that, Running XP or Win7 as such would probably make no different on that PC.

I'm a windows 7/64 user and it's a great replacement for xp. I skipped vista and waited for windows 7 and all my games and programs run fine. As a media severing machine, i noticed no difference between xp and win7/64.

Thanks man,

So,, I'll save some bucks (and work) for the time being and just leave it working.
Someday, well, probably have to give up XP anyway, but as it only serves as to feed files and UMS, if I don't
have to yet, I can wait.

Thanks again,
