Hi Team.

I have Coverarts in my MP3 and FLAC Files, but DLNA (Onkyo) cant´show it with UMS (all Versions incl. 6beta).
I tried a lot, and saw, that WMP works (WMP Server and Onkyo Client - Onkyo Show Coverarts perfect).

sorry, but i have no idea.
can someone help?

Although I have not even a lot of money, but if the problem is solved, I would donate €25.

What Onkyo model?

Hi Nadahar!

i had this issue with a TX-NR929, and Now (since 1 Year) with
an Onkyo TX-NR3030.

Ok, I was just asking because I have an Onkyo TX-NR807, and that UI doesn't seem to support thumbnails. But since yours are newer you probably have an updated DLNA client.

It's very hard to figure out an issue like this without having a device to test on.

All newer Onkyo AVR´s Supports Coverarts. They must be included in MP3 files and Flac, and Onkyo can show them.
I use MP3tag to do that, and with WMP as Server it works pretty good (with Onkyo). But i prefer UMS .

Sorry, I just checked and my Onkyo does that as well with WMP shared music. I just never knew it could

What I was thinking of is that it doesn't show thumbnails when browsing.

This mean I can probably use my Onkyo to troubleshoot this, but it seems it has gotten the "Onkyo disease" now and the DLNA client keeps hanging all the time. I had to restart it ... more than 10 times before it would finally allow me to see coverart. It freezes during playback after a few seconds. This means I need to order som caps and soldier them in place before I can look at it.

I am unsure, that your Receiver can Show Coverarts. It could be a newer Feature
from Onkyo.

It can - and it did. As I said, I tested it, and it did work once I had tried 10 or more times when using WMP as a server. I have never seen this when using UMS, so I'd say the problem is the same with my Onkyo. If I solve it for my Onkyo, it will probably work for yours as well. The problem is only that I have to repair mine first, because the DLNA card / "Net" as Onkyo calls it, keeps freezing and rebooting - probably because of some bad caps as per Onkyo standard.
