Hello All and thank you in advance for all your knowledge and hard work!

My question is: what is the best way to use UMS with a ramdisk?
Is it enough simply to put the file I wish to transcode in a ramdisk folder, or is there more to it?

I stream from a PC over a wired network to (mostly) a PS3.

Best wishes to you all, Gelainey

Ramdisk for what? UMS everything does in memory, nothing transcoded is written to temp files on disk so creating RAM disk eats available RAM to UMS/Java itself and UMS can't benefit from it at all so forget on RAMdisk with UMS 8-)
