Re: UMS 9.3.0

So just to add to my earlier post I have noticed that the UMS-9.3.0.dmg available from the front page of https://www.universalmediaserver.com by clicking on the Apple icon is only 89.5MBs and comes up with the error as mentioned before. However from the Source Forge page https://sourceforge.net/proj...

UMS 7.7.1 video squashed down to narrow letterbox

Using Mac Pro running Sierra 10.12.6, have upgraded UMS to 7.7.1 and now the video display is viewing as a very narrow (height) letterbox. I have on the same Mac Pro another installation of Sierra 10.12.6 on a separate disk, this has UMS 7.5.0 installed and the video displays the correct proportions...

Re: UMS 7.0.1 and macOS 10.13.4

Well if that is your attitude towards Apple and people who buy Apple products then why are you in the business of providing software for that platform. It's not the first time I have come across your answers as being crass and dismissive. If you are in the support business then I suggest you actuall...

Re: UMS 7.0.1 and macOS 10.13.4

So are you saying that it has not been tested on High Sierra at all, or just that you personally can't run High Sierra. I can't believe you don't have a Mac knocking about.
Is there any other developers around who have experience of High Sierra and UMS 7.0.1, and have you raised the issue with them.

Re: UMS 7.0.1 and macOS 10.13.4

Have you tried to run UMS on High Sierra 10.13.4, its not just me having an issue with this, as I say UMS 7.0.1 will run on Sierra 10.12.6 and El Capitan 10.11.6.
I am running Java 8 update 171, as I said before I can run UMS 7.0.0 and 6.7.2, so not a Java issue.

UMS 7.0.1 and macOS 10.13.4

Having installed UMS 7.0.1 on a Mac running High Sierra 10.13.4, the UMS app will not launch, I get a notice that the app is damaged and to move it to the Trash. Downloaded and installed several times, same problem. The Mac I use has three different OS versions on it, the others being macOS Sierra 1...

Re: Sony Bravia squashed screen

The resolution is correct, it plays well when connected to the tv via a usb stick.
I don't know what you mean by 'forcing a whole bunch of extensions'
this is a standard install of UMS, I have not changed anything in the transcoding settings.

Re: Sony Bravia squashed screen

Yes I get that but there is no point as the debug info contains no information as to the problem. The issue with the Sony is not a new one as I see many people have reported the problem here and elsewhere, so I was wondering if there was a fix. As I see you are a developer then I thought you might b...

Re: Sony Bravia squashed screen

What exactly is that supposed to mean?

As I pointed out the video is not rendered properly I have the full width of the screen, but the height is about half of what should be seen and thus the picture is compressed, i.e. squashed.
