as i said it look a bug to me, but when i reported it no one seem considered as it.
I suspect that it come from characters encoding handling.
@valib and @nadahar are the ones having implemented it, so feel free to submit an issue there:

Hello Developer-Team,

My Chromecast 2 is worng detected as a Chromecast Ultra.
I've fix this by deleting the Ultra conf.
Please fix this in next releases.

Do you mean that your issue was solved while adding this line of code into your renderer configuration file ?
RemoveTagsFromSRTSubtitles = false

Could you please add [SOLVED], as i did as example, in front of your main report's title ?
