Re: UMS 13.0 doesn't start on Mac with Big Sur 11.6.1

This is because of Apple tightening restrictions on what can be installed on their systems unless developers pay them.
I know there are workarounds bit I think it has become harder with the latest OS.
There was discussion on that recently here.

Re: Sorting by date on Samsung QLED TV

But surely you would know exactly how many entries there are when the renderer requests a directory listing, each file will be scanned or retrieved from the database and a total count will be sent too, that is if I have understood this correctly <NumberReturned>14</NumberReturned> <TotalMatches>14</...

Re: Sorting by date on Samsung QLED TV

I think it would be a good idea to add that option. The leading zeros shouldn't be that bad as I guess most people will not have more than 100 in a directory so the files would be numbered 01-99, if less than 1000 it would only be 001-999. One place I really think it should be done as default though...

Re: Sorting by date on Samsung QLED TV

OK that makes sense.

I guess the only way to do custom sorting on those devices would be an option to prepend the date or a number to each filename sent to the renderer on the fly, but not sure how easy it would be to implement or if it would mess with other functions.

Re: Sorting by date on Samsung QLED TV

This is a problem with Samsung TVs and some other devices. They ignore the order of the file list it receives and instead shows them in alphabetical order.

There is an option for music that prepends the track number to keep them in order but there is no option to do that for videos at the moment.

Re: Version 10.13.0 released

OK it is good that it is repeatable as it will help track the problem down, but I think this will have to be something the devs will have to investigate as I have no idea on what is causing it. :(

To access the web interface just click the web interface icon on the top of the GUI, or type http://localhost:9001/ into your web browser.

I wonder if there is a problem in the latest version with some thumbnails as another user is having similar problems.

Re: Thumbnails generated incorrectly

I had a quick skim of your logs and could not see any obvious. There could be an issue with saving them to the database or maybe something wrong with the search queries. I don't know enough to be sure though. One thing you could do is try an earlier version, deleting the database before installing a...

Re: Thumbnails generated incorrectly

My first thought is that your database is corrupt or the thumbnails were mixed up somehow when they were created. this can sometimes happen when upgrading to a newer version and something in the database does not update too, but since this is your first install I doubt that is it. I would suggest yo...
