Re: "<filename> could not be parsed. It will be hidden"

I have no GUI or "create trace" button, it's running in headless mode.

How do i create a trace from the command line?

"<filename> could not be parsed. It will be hidden"

Hi there.

I have this error with no extra details. The named file seems to be fine, it can be correctly played in vlc.

How can i check what's wrong with the file?

Thanks

Re: UMS getting stuck, some hard to spot bug

So, i've been monitoring the UMS thread count for a while, and here is what happens on UMS 9.0.0-b2 https://i.ibb.co/nmgwn59/day.png The server stays "good" for a while, then something happens and it runs out of control in 2 hours. I have some file events around the time when threads start...

Re: UMS getting stuck, some hard to spot bug

I can't remember clearly, but i have a feeling this bug has "always" been present since i became an UMS user at the early 7.x days. It is still present in 9.0.0-b2. At the beginning, it took about a month for UMS to exhaust the thread resources and hang the system, now it takes only a few ...

Querying UMS status?

Hi there!

I am using UMS as a server in headless mode.

I made a script to restart it periodically, but i do not want to restrt it while it is being "used". Is there a way to query how many clients are connected to it and/or if it is streaming a content?

Thank you

Re: UMS getting stuck, some hard to spot bug

Yep, it still happens in 8.1.0.

I am now setting up a script to kill and restart it when it approaches the threads limit.

Help writing a renderer

Hi there! I am trying to write the missing Samsung Q7 renderer. About the "H264Level41Limited" option, the manual says: "H.264 FHD is supported up to Level 4.1. (TV does not support FMO / ASO / RS); H.264 UHD is supported up to Level 5.1.". What's the correct setting for the opti...

Disabling transcoding by default?

Hi there.

So, it looks like most of the videos sent to my TV are transcoded even when not needed: if i enter the #TRANSCODE# folder and try to play the video "as-is", it just works. Is there a way to disable transcoding by default and leave it available only in the #TRANSCODE# folder?
